Acceptance and operator
These BPMFinder.xyz terms of use are effective August 29, 2026. They apply to bpmfinder.xyz, its guides, and its deterministic browser tools. BPMFinder.xyz operates the site from 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
By using the service, you agree to these terms. Do not use it if you disagree. You must be at least 16 and must satisfy any higher age or consent requirement that applies where you live.
These are the published terms for the service. They do not replace or waive rights that applicable law makes mandatory.
What the service provides
BPMFinder.xyz calculates tempo references from numbers you supply. The core workflow normalizes either completed intervals or audible events including boundaries, divides the interval rate by elapsed time, and scales to beats per minute. Additional tools compare manually measured windows, display half-time and double-time candidates, and plan a count duration.
Guides explain boundary placement, window length, pulse-level ambiguity, live drift, pickups, drum landmarks, confidence, disagreement, and documentation.
The service does not receive media, analyze a URL, use a microphone, read a song library, monitor clicks continuously, identify a recording, determine meter, or certify a performance.
Limited permission
BPMFinder.xyz grants a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to use the public interface for lawful personal, educational, and internal professional reference. You may copy your own calculation results and use short attributed quotations where law permits.
No ownership in the brand, copy, illustrations, software, compilation, interface, or other site material transfers to you. Rights not expressly granted remain reserved.
Your inputs and measurements
Tool inputs stay in your browser. You are responsible for the count, boundaries, elapsed-time source, pulse definition, version, and intended use. Do not place confidential or regulated information in the interface merely because it is local; device extensions, screen capture, or physical access can still expose it.
You must respect copyright, contract, platform rules, performance rights, and other obligations when listening to or timing music elsewhere. The site supplies no recording and grants no third-party music license.
Prohibited behavior
You may not:
- impair, overload, probe, or bypass service or security controls;
- deliver malware, deceptive redirects, or code that collects another person’s data;
- use automation in a way that disregards published crawl rules or degrades access;
- impersonate the operator or claim affiliation, endorsement, certification, or tempo verification that does not exist;
- copy substantial site content to create a confusingly similar product;
- use support as an unauthorized media-upload or analysis channel;
- attempt to turn the static interface into a downloader, remote song service, or circumvention tool;
- use results to deceive another person about measurement quality.
Ordinary browser inspection and reasonable search crawling consistent with robots.txt are not prohibited.
Educational and measurement limits
A correct equation can still produce a misleading observation when the count is wrong. Human boundary timing, ambiguous pulse, missed intervals, pickup notes, rubato, drift, polyrhythm, and version differences can change a result. Half-time and double-time candidates are descriptive alternatives, not recommendations.
Displayed decimal precision does not certify accuracy. The sensitivity band is an illustration based on a stated timing offset, not a confidence interval. The window comparator summarizes entered observations and cannot determine why they differ.
Do not rely on the site for scientific calibration, medical cadence, safety systems, forensic findings, contractual tempo delivery, royalty reporting, or any decision requiring certified measurement. Obtain appropriate professional instruments and review.
Worked permitted-use example
You count 32 completed pulse intervals over 15.8 seconds. The site calculates about 121.52 BPM and displays the equation. You repeat over a longer stable window, document the boundaries, and report “approximately 122 BPM for the chorus.”
This is an intended educational use. Claiming that BPMFinder.xyz analyzed the audio, guaranteed an exact whole-song tempo, or authorized the recording would be false.
Intellectual property and feedback
Site content and visual assets are protected by applicable law. Product names and marks of others remain their owners’ property. Reference to a general musical method does not imply affiliation.
If you voluntarily send a suggestion, you represent that you may share it. The operator may use nonconfidential feedback to improve the service without an obligation to compensate, subject to applicable law. Do not send trade secrets or confidential client material.
Availability and changes
The service may be corrected, modified, paused, or discontinued. BPMFinder.xyz does not promise uninterrupted operation, retention of local values, compatibility with every device, or advance notice for every minor edit. Material legal changes should receive an updated effective date.
The current service has no account, upload, API, database, payment, analytics vendor, or persistent tool storage. If those capabilities change, the terms may be updated with a new effective date.
Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” BPMFinder.xyz disclaims warranties of uninterrupted operation, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy in every musical context. Jurisdictions may restrict some exclusions.
Liability limitation
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, BPMFinder.xyz and its personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, opportunity, revenue, reputation, performance, or creative work arising from the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply. They do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, an exclusive venue, or a fixed aggregate liability cap.
